Don N.

Don is the Friday dinner speaker. A great member of the Los Angeles sober community, with 28 years of sobriety. Don combines humor with a strong AA message to share his experience, strength and hope. When asked what best exemplifies his sobriety? "Hard to answer, so many areas of living have improved. Basically it is the freedom which brings gladness when I reflect," he replied.


Kay S.

Kay, the Saturday dinner speaker, is a respected member of the Los Angeles sober community, with 32 years of recovery. She combines a powerful pitch with an positive introspection of her adventurers in sobriety. She was asked what best exemplifies your sobriety. "I love sobriety," she commented.





Al-Anon Speaker


Christopher G.

This year, Christopher G. of Washington, DC is the Al-Anon speaker (at Saturday lunch). He will share the story of how he came to Al-Anon. He was born in Waco, Texas, but went to school in San Antonio. He lived in San Francisco in the mid-1980s and lost many friends to AIDS. He later moved to the capital. He and his partner Dan have been together for 16 years as of April 20, the same date as the end of the conference. He enjoys carrying the message of the steps to others through service work and have facilitated various workshops on Male Relationships in Recovery.
